Leading Crew: Barry Heath | Director & Producer
Owner of DeltaVisionUK & Heath Electronics
DeltaVision UK and Heath Electronics owner and founder, Barry Heath, started his career as a recording engineer at the world famous music label, Pye Studios, in 1973. Having passed his first certificate with three years training behind him, his next location was CBS studios in London for further training. Two years later, he gained his final certificate.
By this time his recording experience had lead him to record as a full balance engineer, working with many famous artists including Cream, The Who, The Stones, Petula Clark and also big bands like Bert Kaemphert, James Last, Ray Conniff and Burt Bacharach to name a few.
Barry’s next step was to open his own recording studio called Tangerine Records with the help of a business partner. Whilst running the studio, he also studied Electronics at Kingston Tech and gained an HND. In 1979, Barry moved to the broadcast sound division of Thames TV. Here, he gained an interest in the vision side of the industry and applied for a post as a trainee camera operator at the new Warren Street site in London.
It was there that he met Jim Warren, then chief of outside broadcasts, who took Barry under his wing and trained him to first cameraman level. During this time he filmed numerous programmes such as Today, What the Papers say and also many plays such as Sherlock Holmes.
In 2015, Barry formed his own production company, producing videos for global companies such as Ford and Peugeot. He has also worked on Chinese Barrons and the Frank Sinatra Story. Most recently, Barry has been working on HD adverts for Dutch TV and continues to run DeltaVisionUK and Heath Electronics from his home in London.
